No as I was worried that it wasn't connected properly and would be leaking gas! I'll give it a go tomorrow and let you know how I get on. Thanks for the help.

I got a gas BBQ and after putting it together I'm sure I'm missing a piece. It was end of line, hence cheap, so I'm not sure I will be able to get a replacement.

The piece I'm wondering about is for the side burner and I'm sure that there should be a hose or connection as the gas just escapes ...
