Re: Ugly Drum Smokers
Resurrecting a zombie thread, but if anyone wants to build a UDS and needs a drum, and is OK with it being an old oil drum which will need a burn-out before building, please PM me as we have a few kicking about at work looking for new homes

Re: Whisky soaked Oak wood
Received mine this weekend, if the product from the UDS/Weber smells anything like as fine as the wood chips do I'll be in sweet blue heaven

Re: WANTED: 57cm Weber kettle
Thanks for the heads-up, I'll watch that one while I make my mind up. Can't decide whether to build a reverse offset and lose the UDS, as above but keep the UDS, or either of these first two but buy myslf a 67cm kettle which I've lusted after for some time, the only retard on that being the eye ...

Re: WANTED: 57cm Weber kettle
I've been looking on eBay bud, all of the affordable ones seem to be in the Western Isles or Cornwall (i.e. too far away) or worse Wisbech (shudder!  ). I'll keep trying and keep looking in the new year. Take on board your comments ref the enamel and fitting the lid to the drum, and ...

Re: Bbq and smoker build.
Congratulations, you beat me to it (you swine!), I've got a collection of gas cylinders salvaged from hedgerows including a 47kg one and have been contemplating building a reverse offset smoker for a while, so I think I'll just have to get on and do it now, then make my mind up whether or not to ...

Re: Help me convince my missus BBQ is all good!!!
Sorry (I'm late into this and doubly sorry I didn't get any pics of my own efforts (I have a rotten bloody cold at the mo, that's my excuse) which if I may say so were pretty fab to look at and eat, but it was my daughters 12th birthday on the 27th and we had folk over, so I smoked a 12lb pork loin ...

WANTED: 57cm Weber kettle
As title, would prefer if at all possible for enamel to be undamaged but OK if slightly nicked/chipped. The fittings/accessories don't have to be perfect condition as I'll be using the lid (possible the bottom) for a lid for a UDS as the stainless one I re-purposed is (a) too damn heavy and (b) I ...
