Well I managed to try this out on Friday after work and then again on Sunday. I just managed to fit the chicken on the grilling rack with one of those small size can of beer in it and still get the lid closed 8-)
Got to say it turned out well. I used some Old Bay on the chicken as a dry rub and ...

Re: some advice please
Well I got my Weber OTP yesterday. Fairly straight forward to assemble and I am impressed with the build quality. Decent weather forecast here for Sunday afternoon so I think I will try a chicken and maybe some sausages. If the chicken will stand up I will probably have a go at beer can chicken but ...

Re: some advice please
Hi Robin, I saw a OTP on the internet for £149..99 so I thought it was a pretty good price so I have ordered one of those. I still have the chimney starter which is a great piece of kit - best few quid I ever spent on barbeque accessories and I have ordered some charcoal holders and a drip tray ...

If I want to do a bit of smoking I have an old brinkman in the shed I can use but in doubt I will be smoking that often so I ...

Re: hello
Thanks. Yep I picked the Cypriot BBQ up off e bay a few years back. I cost a bit over £100 if I remember rightly. There is one large motorised spit for doing joints and chickens etc. I have never found that very successful as the spit keeps falling into the charcoal unless you stand over it to stop ...

hello
Well I am looking forward to getting back into some barbequeing again. I used to be quite keen but in recent years not so much so. I still have one of those Brinkman vertical smokers which has gone unused in recent years and a Cypriot barbeque with motorised skewers again which I have not used for ...
