I have a collection of a bunch of woods and although hickory is nice Oak gives the best all-round flavour. That said I am partial to cherry and also pecan (or a mix of both)

Turkey on the XL BGE and I had to share.
20 people to feed and had a pork shoulder on the WSM overnight but wanted to post these as I am loving the BGE (only the second cook on it);

it says "drawstring" in the description online but nothing came with the cover

BGE vented cover
Anyone got one. I bought it so that I could leave the XL BGE outside but the wind just gets underneath it and lifts it like a parachute so I chase it around the garden - badly designed or am I missing something?

The problem for me was mainly because it dripped back down onto on of the racks of ribs.
