Hi from Surrey/Hants Border
Just getting back into hot smoking, had a water smoker in the nineties when living in France. Fell by the wayside over the last few years, now back in the UK and starting again from scratch. My how things have changed!
Just this morning picked up a WSM 57cm from a local garden centre. I have been angsting over ProQ vs Weber, but with no ProQs in stock anywhere, decide to go for the Weber if I could find a good deal. Happened to find this deal on the web:
http://www.partridgeshadleigh.co.uk/out ... 7924009167
The garden centre had a price matching policy, so got a WSM 57cm for £332.99, good price I thought:)
Now to unpack it & all the goodies, then no doubt will be trying to pick the brains of some of the experts on here.
Happy cooking - Bob

Thanks for the reply & the link, looks a bit OTT?
Going to grill some chicken at high temp this evening to start running it in.
Hoping it won't char the wooden decking at the same time
Cheers - Bob

Lucky you - my wife totally not interested (nor my kids). I just do it for a bit of fun - no CPSA or anything like that.fitasc wrote:aris wrote:You a shooter Bob?Yes, very much so, both myself & my wife

Had my second cook on Sunday, combination of pork on the gas grill, and some chicken on the WSM.
Cooked two spatchcock chickens and sixteen thighs, all around 300f for about 90 mins.
Lovely
