Big_Fat_Dan, it was truly a weekend of pure testosterone. Unfortunately the pork had a negative impact on my ability to play football. Might as well give it up, it's wasting time that would be better spent cooking and eating meat :D

I'm new to smoking so safe to ignore my advice, but if you have a kettle grill I'd give it a go as Joe says. The thing I smoked on was the crappiest old kettle you'll ever come across, the meat was too big, the grill was too small, the coals were too close....but somehow, SOMEHOW the meat Gods smiled upon me and it worked. It's the Little Grill That Could :P

I think i'm going to try to pop my pulled pork cherry this weekend, but it will have to be done in the oven as i have no smoker as yet.
Dan, do you want to borrow a Pro Q, Charcoal and apple wood for this weekend ? What the hell, I'll even throw in a little pot of butt rub for you. Now you don't have any excuse...........

In fact it would be a good way to try before you buy.

My preference is BBQ, Blues, Bourbon & Beer.......or Footbal (NFL style WATCHED not played) ;)
