Forgive the self indulgence

Feel free to ask any questions, one of the experts will certainly respond, don't be afraid to ask anything, we were all beginners at some point.

Okay then you're on your own   ...................been there, done that too often but not under those circumstances. Just bought a pair of Gloven so hopefully that won't happen too often from here-on-in.

Gents,
Thanks for the kind words, it is a touch tricky and I would not reccomend trying it at home

I invested in some Kevlar gloves which I think is essential, the first 2 goes I went gloveless and although I escaped unscathed Better not to push your luck.

All that said it is not as difficult as you might think, it is really a case of knowing your space, your grill is the same size as it always is and the handles will always be in the same place, I then organise my workspace so the chimney starter sits atop my fire pit on the left, a strait lift and rotate about45 deg and you are at the smoke box level, rest it on and when you feel the top of the chimney nicely nestled pour, and then it is similar approach for all the other steps

There is certain stuff I cant do, like asessing whether a sausage is done or not, but I line them up and quarter turn at time intervals and they seem ok. Temp testing will soon be sorted with a temp probe that talks from RNIB, so I should be self sufficient.

If you listen to steven rieklin, and I do, he suggests the "poke test" for doneness and that is what I do.
so if you want to give it a try I would suggest the Kevlar gloves!!

Appreciate the positive feedback will keep you informed of all the comedy moments, and there will be some along the way......

Cheers

Fair play to you mate, :)
I was gutted as I was going to treat myself to a pair of glovens at grillstock, but even the largest size was too small, going to have to stick with my welding gloves or getting burnt fingers
Cheers
