Nicely nicely.
What sort of price should I be paying for it ( just so I dont get ripped off ) ?

ET73 is around £50. There is another newer model that is more expensive (around £70) that I've heard mixed reports about the probes on, saying that I've never used one my ET73 has given me good service over the years.

So long as she's not vegetarian she will be pleased with the results

Get her taste testing a great way to get her onside (check it first to make sure it's okay though )

Ps with regards to Charcoal, try and get 'restaurant grade' (bigger lumps).
There are plenty of posts on here discussing charcoal.

There is one other thing I would highly recommend and thats this book http://www.amazon.co.uk/How-Grill-Steve ... 385&sr=8-1, Its so good I have literally worn mine out, I'll need to buy another soon. Have a look through the pages on Amazon. There are pictures every step of the way and everything is so clearly explained its like having somebody there with you. It makes a great starting point.

I have the Maverick and I love it. Cant really fault it.

It is the mail equivelent of dress, shoes, handbag, costume Jewlerry, nails, hair and make up.......it is not often you treat yourself....."great hunks of slow roasted meat?.....come on Grills its cos were worth it.......
