charcoal chimney starter - Diy build, quick question
Re: charcoal chimney starter - Diy build, quick question
Thanks.
Stainless is 316ti @1.25mm- I have a fair whack of it, but this piece was an offcut from a high end cookerhood.
Mirror one side, brushed the other side. Genuine pain in the nuts to from a cyl with no rollers. This was formed round a boc o2 bottle, with many MANY swear words! ( hence its not really that round)

304, 1.6mm with 11mm square openings.
Its free so it'll do! Mastered cutting shapes for a cone. either need a former, or will put several bends in it, more like a pyramid.
stainless handle will finish it off!

Looks like a great build, so assuming you were daft enough to start production how much would one work out at????
Re: charcoal chimney starter - Diy build, quick question
The stainless sheet would be a little less then £10
Stainless mesh around £4, handle in stainless around £5.
So cost is £20 all day..so retail would be more like 40.
Mine was very much free though, everything I needed was lying around!
