Plucked it out the Styrofoam a month ago, so I've done 4 small (3 hours) and 1 large (6 hours +) cooks, so its still on the virgin side.

It should improve then. But still it shouldn't be running so hot now.

From what youre saying i should also try and make sure that the stackers are used in the same order, so the bedding in process can maximise its effect.

Its due to rain this weekend but i'm still planning to do some ribs and take my first shot at pork shoulder, so i'll report back after that.

The only issue I have with my E20 is that the access doors have warped a bit, but not to worry the top stacker is going to have a steel cable tie pulled around it to close the door up and the bottom one I'm going to pack out a bit with foil.

Apart from that I've had 10hr+ on one load of charcoal (briquettes) and between 4 and 8 using lump (depending on qty used) this was running between 200 and 260ish F throughout - all vents wide open.
