Hi all

I just thought I would share my Macro findings with you all.

After using the last bag of fuel for Essex, I needed to source some fuel for my mates B'day celebration at the weekend the only place I could find any was Macro. I was rather hesitant because last time I bought a bag from there it was full of tiny bits which fell through the grates, useful to no one really!! To my surprise when I opened the bag it was full of nice sized bits suitable for both Smoking and grilling (new supplier maybe?!?!).

If anyone needs some and they have a macro nearby (with a card) it may be worth a look.

I bought two bags recently and like you I shared your misfortune with the first one . Going to open the second one this evening...kinda hoping I miracously picked up two bags from two different batches

We frequently purchase from Macro, as they have free delivery on occasion and if you buy on their website you dont need a card. They had 2 bags in the last shipment, one light blue bag and one dark blue bag. The light blue bag had really broken small pieces, the dark blue bag had whole trees of lumpwood. Makro has some good prices on occasion +-£10/bag, so about +-£0.90/kg.

I didn't know they delivered that's good to know. But I do like to feel my charcoal . These are new lighting blue bags they all seem great like they used to get in 2 seasons ago

Ribs going on as soon as the chimney starter has done her business!
Not sure if the bag is light or dark blue (severely colourblind and Mrs. Irish isn't home to help).

When I've had it in there it's been fist sized lumps and above. Hopefully wont go down in quality now Bookers have bought them.
