Paint on a BBQ.

Hi All,Greetings from a clear but very cold Cornwall,-2c at the moment, anyway can I ask if anyone has idea`s about the painting of BBQ`s please, the heat resistant stuff I had in mind,I have looked at some but was unsure if they were up to the job or not and whether to get Spray on,or slap it on with a brush type,I hav`nt started to build as yet took me three days to clear the shed out and make some space, anyway if anyone has got any idea`s as to a good paint that will not burn off as soon as you fire up the Barby I would be most grateful, the items to paint would be the oil drum and the LPG Gas Cylinder Firebox.I have as yet to decide on the type of frame to go with it so I will be sitting down with a massive mug of strong coffee and a foot high stack of paper and begin to plan the frame work its all going to be attached to,is there any place on the Internet that I can get some FREE plans for building a BBQ,I tried one and the cost of one plan would be enough to buy a BBQ and the first load of meat, ouch.
Anyway I hope someone out there can help and I can get going soon on the cutting and setting up,oh almost forgot, any suggestions on how to attach the Firebox and Cooking Chamber together and the size of the hole/aperture between them,I have been told as big as possible to allow the heat and smoke to circulate but am a bit lost regarding joining the two components, propane tank and oil drum together, welding, bolting I am not sure which or how, anyway any help would be good,All the Best Folks.
