Gas Equivalent of 57cm OTP

Following my post about upsetting/killing my neighbour, what are the options when it comes to gas?
What are the buying costs like?
What are the running costs like?
I understand that the food is generally comparable.
Any assistance would be great!

Like a lot of things it depends on your price, have a look at Steven Raichlin's many website he uses gas quite a lot. As to a direct equivilent the Outdoorchef Ascona is a 57cm gas kettle, it is expensive and takes a bit of getting used to as the burners are in two levels around the outside of the bbq.

I don't know much about what she claims to be breathing in but if its dangerous enough for her to turn up at your door keep cooking with charcoal, if she kicks the bucket then you can carry on in peace..................................just saying

Wah Geordie lad,
My post on your original thread may not have been so helpful at keeping the piece so allow me to try and redeem myself.
I personally would not opt for a gas kettle, I think they are excellent in Weber charcoal form but if you are going to gas grill I would go for a hooded multi burner, 3 minimum.
I have owned and enjoyed Outbacks for the best part of 10 years and have been really rather impressed, when my old hunter was looking all raher clapped out after 8 solid years uncovered in the garden I wen looking again. I shrewed the Weber Spirit range good and hard but when it came down to it I went outback again, couldn't justify the extra lucre.
We have had many excellent simple grills on it and I have done, pork butt, wings and a large salmon in an offset smoking fashion.
Here we reach the nub, crux and very fulcrum of the knobbly problem, the kangarilla lizard pig you live next door to will not be swayed by your change of fuel, the acrid cloud of nerve gas that drifts across her property from a grilling sausage will be no less toxic, and should you use wood chips? No because the very flesh will melt from her frame exposing her as the undead creature of the night she undoubtedly is.
I am sure she is a witch and it is the flashbacks of being burned at the stake that are causing her such anziety, I suggest you replicate the scene from war of the worlds when the priest Nathaniel, played by Phil lynott in the original , drives the evil away but in this case rather than using religious artifacts I suggest you brandish a weber chimney starter in one hand and one of those fish bats in the otherm shrieking witc, shes a witch!
blessed are the cheesemakers, hope this helps
Cheers

As always we count on Tiny to take the moderate approach, but he is right about the fact that it won't matter what you cook on she will complain. Seriously have you spoken to her husband about this or in fact other neighbours to see if they have similar problems?

Thanks for the input.
Half of me wants to have many more BBQs just to prove that I can
Half of me doesn't want to be falling out with anyone in my street
Maybe an acceptable compromise is gas.
Or some kind of extractor/chimney system to get the smoke above ground floor height which may be enough to keep her "happy".

What????!!
You intend to raise the smoke up to her bedroom height to attempt to kill her in her sleep, you heartless cad sir!
I bet my left nadger to an acre of swedes you will NEVER be able to come to a compromise, the fact she is claiming blood and carcinogens from your modest backyard action, ooh err, proves she is mad as a box of frogs. Do not allow yourself to be bullied, wave your sausage at her with confidence and pride,
Cheers

Hilarious just hilarious!!!
I wouldn't change anything, you've just got a nutty neighbour that will probably moan at anything and everything, your bbq is just a reason that she has found to moan. If you cleaned her garden for her she'll find a leaf out of place or the grass cut to short by 1mm.
Crack on with your bbq and try to ignore her, she'll probably start on another neighbour when she knows she's not getting to you.
Have you asked about her to other neighbours, they might already had the same from her with something else.
Why not invite every other neighbour round for a bbq and have a good loud laugh, you never know she might just want an invite
Good luck, im quite lucky as I only have one neighbour and she's fine as long as she gets some meat, not mine well mine but not MY meat

Not knowing the full details and background is giving us license to have a laugh, but it obviously is bothering Geordie. Why don't you ask the local authority environmental health to mediate, or at least give an opinion. If you get them involved you should be seen as willing to move forward. Get them on your side, EHOs have BBQs too. Let them decide that you are within your rights to use your garden for safely organised BBQs. If they tell you to curtail your hobby I am sure someone would know someone who know someone who can help.

Geordie have to spoken to any of your other neighbours to see if they have a take on this? Until you do you won't know if she is, as Tiny states, as mad as said container of amphibians or is an overly hyperbolic representative of the local community.
