a newbie hello!

HI there ya'll...recently got meself a weber kettle tried for the first time this evening only to discover that the lumpwood had almost all gone before the food was cooked. I heated the coals with my old chimney had the bottom vent open and the top partially yet it'd almost all gone

What brand of fuel were you using ?

Better fuel - also how long were you cooking for?

Big k lumpwood fir fuel. I used my chmney to heat it up. I probably got 15-20mins roughly before they were near enough cold.

Also, I'd suggest having the top vent fully open while restricting air flow from the bottom vents
