Hi just after a bit advice where is the best place to buy my grills for my uds have just bought 54cm ash pan and grills need to be a good fit in my barrel so I can get the charcoal basket in, thanks for any help.

looking for advice about what to use for my ash pan for my uds, have used a round 43cm charcoal grill with wire mesh for my basket. But been looking what to use as an ash tray and not sure what to use, would be grateful if anyone could help?

in the process of making my first uds but a bit unsure the best way to make the charcoal basket and the size to make it. Have looked on the internet and expanded metal seems to be the thing but don't have a welder, if anyone knowS a simple way or can you buy a basket ready made?

Dave from gateshead been into cold smoking for a good few years now mainly fish I have caught, in the process of building my first uds and looking forward to trying it out. Hope to get some good ideas from this sight and may need a bit of help at times.
