Hi
Just wanted to get some advice on preference of Rubs or Sauces to coat before cooking?

Re: Rubs or Sauce
There will be numerous responses, and alot will depend on the meat you are cooking. Pork and Brisket for example I rub first then sauce after the cook. Chicken i will generally leave in some dressing over night before the cook, sprinkle a little rub before the cook and sauce if i think it needs it afterwards. What did you have in mind?

Can't add to much more than Toby apart from I like to put rub under the skin of chicken too.
You can also inject prior to cooking which is a better method than saucing.
