Hello every body, i'm about to buy a 57cm WSM but i'm really struggling to find a supplier of hardwood chunks in this area. I live in Hull East Yorkshire. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Ian

There are a few suppliers dotted around, i am sure people will chip in with details. Weber do bags of chunks, have you asked the company you are buying the WSM from? Probably cheaper if they ship them to you at the same time.

You can get wood mail order but obviously you end up paying a bit more because of the shipping. If you speak to Paul at http://www.bbqsmokingwood.co.uk he will post wood to you.
The other thing to do is keep an eye out for wood you can have. I've picked up wood from downed trees before. Usually if I speak to the council guys who are clearing them up they let me have a few logs. I just split them down at home. All my friends let me know if they're cutting down trees too.

For shorter smokes like ribs and chicken thighs you can often get away using pellets, this also gives you more choice of wood not typically available in the uk.

Thanks for the replies and the ideas, the council one sounds like a great idea.
