Big thanks!

Feel free to ask any questions, one of the experts will certainly respond, don't be afraid to ask anything, we were all beginners at some point.

Big thanks!

Post by FlashGordon »

I really wanted to thank everyone for the help and support. Especially Steve who helped me get the Pro Q, and Eddie who has sent me loads of advice, and a tub of Bad Byron’s special Butt Rub. But a massive thanks to anyone who has replied to my posts.
The good news is every time I have cooked something, I’ve had good feedback – and the day after I have craved making some more!
To date, I’ve cooked Chicken, Ribs, pork shoulder, brisket, more ribs, and more shoulder.
This past weekend was a beef brisket, a small pork shoulder & Pork Ribs. I’ve been happy with the results of them all, other than the ribs, so I will be looking for advice on those soon!
Hopefully I will have a nice Pork Butt to see to this weekend! So I will keep you all posted!

It has been really useful- i think i would have been up the creak without a paddle!

Hopefully i will get to grillstock, so i might get the chance to say hello to a few people.

If you're not able to get all the way down to Bristol, the series finals are at Cartmel Race Course in Cumbria which might be a bit closer for you, and you can have a day out at the races ;)

Sounds interesting..!

I know bristol is a bit far, I think i should be able to make it. So long as its sunny I'll find a campsite and spend the night.

The one in cumbria sounds like it might be worth taking a look at.

The one at Cartmel should be great. It's the final of the IBQN series and the series winner will get a place at the Jack Daniel's World Invitational BBQ Championships.

You're welcome to come and hang around with my team for the weekend if you do make the trip.

We may be based in Reading but I'm a Wiganer and my teammate is from Blackpool so another Lancastrian will fit right in! :D
