What BBQ

Post by bbqbob »

Hi there, I've just joined as I'm looking to start smoking food. I'm having trouble deciding which BBQ to buy, my choice is limited due to my budget of £200.
I have been thinking about the weber one touch 57cm premium for £169.99 or the proq frontier smoker for £174.99 which also comes with a starter bundle see link

Any advice would be appreciated

Just to add I would mainly be cooking for my family so joint sizes would be around 1.5kg maybe rising to 2.5kg on odd occasion am really looking forward to trying brisket

I'd go with the Weber kettle, it will do everything you want with ease and it's top quality with loads of accessories.

I just love my Weber OTS, it is perfect for most of the stuff I cook, the only against is the amounts of food you can cook at one time when doing the low-and-slow, but find that a twelve pound turkey is enough for me at one sitting!! My Kettle is now entering it's fourth year of service and will be good for many years to come. Partridge's in Hadleigh had some good prices on Weber grills recently, free delivery as well.

Well I've just got back from my local garden centre, they had the weber one touch 57cm premium for £199.99. They said they priced matched so I showed them website offering it for £170.00 and I offered to spend my £30 saving on accessories with them but they refused because they said the item was in a sale so they couldn't price match.
Am so glad as just come back to your posts and found it on partriges website for £139.00 thanks for the heads up Riverrat and thanks to all for taking time to help out
