Cyderpig proudly presents Boss Hogg & Cletus

Post by CyderPig »

Boss Hogg (45 gal) 2 grates, Fire Basket 1/2 beer keg cut through with grinder.

Cletus (12gal), Grate 12 inches above top of fire basket, 5-6 inches from lid. 2nd grate 2 inches from top. Lid old BBQ top. Fire basket s/s colander, water pan and heat diffuser if needed.

Both sit at 225 for hours with little or no adjustment except when the lid has been taken off. This causes temperature spikes.

Did ribs and chicken on Boss Hogg last Saturday with great results. Wowee.....

Awesome, I see the grates are still unused, have you taken them for a test run since?

Used new grills for the pictures to make them look pretty.
I have two more UDS under construction.
The test run was last Sat, Ribs and Chicken, they turned out amazing for my 1st try on the drum.
