Hello there
I live in ash vale Surrey next village along from tongham, will BBQ all year and in summer only ever tend to cook on the BBQ
Started off with burgers and sausages cremating each side until serving but now have improved my skills to cooking edible food and have cooked most food that can be found in the meat aisle with pork belly being a favourite.
Arrived at this forum as was wanting some advise on smoking, as did a rolled stuff pork joint on my weber and it got rather burnt on the bottom but the top was fantastic, so that got me looking into long smoking, that got me into researching
UDS which I will be making very soon, which brought me to hear
Just wanting to say hi and introduce myself and hope to post up pics of the build soon.

Thanks for the nice welcome
I did have the coals under rather to the side, another learning curve!!!
I am just trying to find a bare naked steel drum now, saves having it all burnt out!! I can get oil drums for £20 but they are used. I have phoned the manufacturer of steel drum in Birmingham who can supply open top completely naked ie no paint or lining inside or out for £40 justy need to collect! Its a good job my brother lives in Dudley about 5 minutes from the manufacturer so got a good excuse to go up there!!!!
