Hi everyone,
My lovely Mrs bought me a brick BBQ for our anniversary so I am very new to this BBQ lark, so go easy on me. It was finally dry for more than 5 minutes on Sunday so gave it a test drive. I bought a stainless steel kit and was wondering if anyone could clarify the following - I noticed that the ash pan had warped slightly and gone brown / black under where I had placed the coals, is this normal? (I didn't think I had bought cheap)
Thanks in advance.

It'll get subjected to some pretty high heat, so unless it it pretty thick metal it'll buckle a little. But it won't necessarily stop it doing what it's designed for.
