Brinkmann Single Zone Charcoal BBQ
Brinkmann Single Zone Charcoal BBQ
Hi Everyone,
I'm totally new to BBQ'ing and would really like to get started. I've been reading a lot and bought Big Bob Gibsob's bbq book which is brilliant, and the BBQ Bible and read far more than I ever thought I would need about thermometers, but I'm missing a kinda key ingredient: the bbq!
It's a bit of a toss up really, I know webber's are great, but I want something a little bigger and I'm not a fan of how kettle's look. I really like the looks of http://barbequick.net/store/index.php?m ... cts_id=155 but can't find any reviews anywhere. I was wondering if anyone on here has one? Or knows if they're any good? I read someone on here had the dual zone one and it was a bit of a pain for airflow.
If that's no good I will probably end up getting the Weber performer and at some point the smokey mountain, but I've gotta start somewhere!
Thanks for any advice, and hello to all!

I've never bought their products before.
I actually quite like the look of that, and I've often wondered why Weber don't do a charcoal model in the same shape as their larger gas models.
Having said that, the one great thing I've found about Webers is that they have excellent build quality. I wouldn't want to splash out £150+ on anything that I've not seen up close and personal, and which might rust into uselessness within 24 months.

That's my worry as well, I don't want it to fall apart at the first sign of rain as it will mostly have to live outdoors. I'd really love a weber charcoal in the style of their gas ones too, wonder why they don't do it? Curious.

Can't comment on lump around the Ipswich area but if there is a Makro up there, they stock restaurant grade lumpwood in 14kg blue bags, I along with a few other members are using this
Good luck and keep us posted.

Pending that the chain of companies called "The Range" sell Big K in lump and briquette if that helps along with large jars of spices and all manner of goodies for the outdoor cook
