Beginner Classes

Feel free to ask any questions, one of the experts will certainly respond, don't be afraid to ask anything, we were all beginners at some point.

Beginner Classes

Post by MrJaba »

I was just wondering, being a complete novice and now having seen every episode of BBQ Pitmasters, do any of the teams in the UK offer beginner classes? Noticed a lot of the American teams seem to, was hoping there was something similar over here.

Another question which might cause some controversy.. is there a "best team" in the UK? :)

Currently Red Bull- Renault! But that doesn't really answer my question :) perhaps I should be more specific, is there a current reigning champion team in the competition bbq circuit in the UK? If so who is it? Do they give lessons?

Sorry to be vague, but there are a couple of teams that have won Nationals of one type or another Bunch of Swine (http://www.bbbqs.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2758) and Joker Smoker. Neither, to my knowledge hold classes, however you have posted at an opportune moment (http://www.bbbqs.com/Forum/viewtopic.ph ... 6&start=10) specificaly the Harry Soo classes. (http://www.bbbqs.com/Forum/viewtopic.ph ... ilit=harry) follow all the links in the last one for reviews of his courses.

Maybe see you at one

Haha, no worries, it was a very vague question :)

Thanks for those links, they look perfect, will have to keep my eyes peeled for the 101 class. Have been watching too much TLC BBQ Pitmasters and Harry was ace on it.

This forum is dangerous, my gadget list is every growing, need a WSM next :)

Or a ProQ you get good to excellent results with either, or if the lottery has been kind to you a BGE or clone.

Haha, yeah I'd love one of those! I should enter some bbq competitions and buy one with the winnings  except that's about as likely as the lottery win!
