Re: UDS cover
From the size of a "standard" UDS I'd suggest a cheap tarpaulin/groundsheet wrapped around them to protect them. I've seen those large roadside sand/ballast delivery bags used, secured with cord or bungee straps.
Re: UDS cover
Hmm, thanks. That is perhaps an idea - can sew up a tarpaulin on the UDS to get the right shape.
I've tried regular BBQ covers, but they tend to be too short. I'm open to any other ideas too.

Let it rust, it's called a UDS for a reason...
Or maybe I'm just lazy.. Yeah, that's it, I'm lazy

But I do find that water finds a way to ingress into the UDS - which is a bit uncool.

Re: UDS cover
Got to agree with you there aris, the coal basket on the ProQ is ever so slighty orange, nothing that a good burn won't cure though. Instead of sewing the cover try pop-rivets with the backing washer so it doesn't pull through. I made a cover for another hobby not for a bbq, that way more years ago than I care to remember, if you fold the seams properly it works quite well. Or you can use a good rubber solution glue and stck a backing strip to the inside of the seam. Granted, not elegant but quicker and less stressful than getting the sewing awl out or explaining why the sewing machine is now a paperweight

Hi Aris
Use a green recycling bag like the ones you get for garden refuse etc.

Re: UDS cover
Agree with Si, a look round garden centre is worth a first plan, I got two huge green garden refuse sacks, double them up one inside other for extra strength and will cover it perfect.
Re: UDS cover
I googled these sacks - they are basically a tarpaulin in a 'sack' shape, with handles. I'll take a closer look at one at a garden centre. Thanks.
