My first 2 attempts

Post by Backyardsmoker »

I started late last summer so only managed two low n slow before the bad weather started. The first pulled pork was amazing. Second time I did a chicken, beef and pork. The chicken was amazing but the other two went tough and dry. Two reasons for that 1. My brother kept opening the lid 2. I sent the same brother to fetch more charcoal and he got instant light bags which I reckon got the temps way to high. Anyway here are the photos.

Hi Ben.
I wouldnt use instant light on a low and slow, especially for a top up. I believe the fuel will contaminate your food.

I know. I dont use them anyway. My brother got the wrong stuff and I was left with no choice.
