Hi All
Just thought I'd introduce myself, My name is Mark and I live with my wife and 3 kids in N. Ireland. I have recently (yesterday) bought my first kettle BBQ. It's St Patrick's day and it's a family tradition that we BBQ on this day each year. Until now this has been sausages and burgers and the odd rib or 2.
I had been looking for a small portable BBQ for when we go camping and yesterday bought a Weber smokey joe from a local Garden centre (they had a saleon and I couldn't resist). I researched online last night what could be cooked on them and really liked the idea of roasting and smoking meat on the BBQ! So much so that I went back today and bought another Weber, this time a one touch for the house.
This evening I lit it up and roasted some chickens on it. I'm hooked, well and truly! I don't know why I didn't try this years ago, but I'll be doing it again.... soon. I'm looking forward to gaining some knowledge from you guys on here and experimenting a bit myself.
Cheers for now.
