Super acrid smokey ribs!

The recipe is what i always use at the moment and when i've cooked them in the oven they have been ok but lacking the flavoure the Q gives.

The recipe :--

4tbs brown sugar
1tbs Maldoven salt
3tbs sweet paprica
2tbs garlic powder
1tbs onion powder/granuals
1tsp cumin
1tsp cellery seed/salt

I used to put 1tsp of Cayenne pepper in but stopped as the Kids didn't like it with that in!

Thats my basic rub that im currently using.

For my BBQ sauce,I add

2tbs of the rub
200ml of ketchup
200ml cider vinegar
100ml of apple juice
4tbs brown sugar

And boil/reduce on the grill then with around an 1,1/2 hours to go begin basting the ribs with this every half hour.

Prior to basting with the sauce i baste every hour upto that with apple/orange juice.
