Also, if you are ever up this way (Market Deeping) there is a good butchers in the arcade heading into the market car park from the High Street. Owned by Grasmere Farm, so always good for a bit of pork. Just opposite is the Iron Horse Ranchhouse, which is a BBQ Cafe - although they are due to move to larger premises on the main High Street sometime this year.Tyrone1Wils wrote:What morrisons are we talking about here Chris? Stamford or the one in Walton? May have to pop in and have a look.
Also I've used the Tesco ones in both of my PP cooks and they have done the job for my needs. The tesco shoulders generally cost around £8 for 2.5ish KG i think?

Thanks for this Si, I must remember it next time I visit my local Bookers.CyderPig wrote:Keith is talking about the Bookers Collar Joints.

They're not always individually packed - the last lot I got were frozen in a lump with some loose plastic sheet between. They did come apart - but had to be semi-defrosted first. Not a big issue - I make the whole lot into sausage at the same time.CyderPig wrote:Hi All

They are very good value for money, come individually vac packed, they are all pre trimmed and of even weight.
They cook up well.
