Hopefully I can learn some new tricks etc from you guys, I am planning my first Butt this weekend, but my butcher ended up giving me half a pig so god only knows how it will turn out! I ended up with the butt as well as some ribs and vertebrae buy the looks of it. All in all 6.5kg. Gonna be one very Slow cook!

Hi GG,
I'm just down the road in Petersfield. Good look with the Butt.
I fluked an amazing 5.5KG slab of Pork Ribs last Saturday, only took 8 hours
This weekend its Morrocan Leg of Lamb....what can possibly go wrong????
Cheers

Hello and welcome, that's a big piece of meat, how many are you feeding? You might be as well to cut it in half unless you have lots of time to cook, that said though the bones will add quite a bit to the overall weight. Good luck
