Hi all
New to smoking and just purchased a 47cm wsm, looking forward to having a go. Live near coventry, lots to learn looking through the forum.

Re: Hi all
So I guess you haven't got a scooby at the mo?:D sorry, terrible joke.
Welcome aboard! Hope you enjoy it. I've only really just started too. Been reading up for ages but only just built a UDS. Did my first cook last night.

Re: Hi all
weather crap been hammering it down all day so far. Cant get wsm to sit above 200f, not sure what doing wrong, used the minion method and put another chimney stack on to increase temp. it did for a while then died down to about 200f. will get some heat beads and try them next time i think.

Re: Hi all
If it is windy that can play havoc with your temperatures. Try cracking the lid of the WSM very slightly ie as if the lid isn't sitting properly on and there is a small gap to allow a bit of air in.
