I'm open to most music but when cooking I gotta roll with jazz , soul and blues. I don't need anything causing me to pick up the pace of my low and slow.

Don't get me wrong Al, I like chilling out when cooking and BBQ also. I wouldn't think of playing metal/etc when cooking... there's a time and place for that.

I have been know to play alto and bari sax,percussion, and a trumpet every now and then I just wish I took the time to learn the piano.

The Blues is where it all started...just listen to some Quo or Motorhead and you'll hear this!

Have to say I do like a bit of thrash and noise when I'm cooking or Q'ing....get's the blood pumping and get's me focused!

I'm sure a psycho-analyst will make something outta that!
