Facebook Account Removal.

If you were a friend of All Weather Griller on Facebook, please note that the account has been removed by Facebook as the name did not comply with their policies.

Your account must comply with all of the following name policies:

• Fake names are not permitted.
• Initials cannot stand in place of your full name.
• Nicknames can be used, but only if they are a variation on your real first or last name, such as "Bob" instead of "Robert."
• Your name must only include characters from one language.
• Only one person's name should be listed as profiles cannot be used by multiple parties.
• The use of professional and religious titles within names is not permitted.
• The use of any titles, symbols, numbers, unusual capitalization, or punctuation is not permitted.
• Impersonating anyone or anything is not permitted.

I have no desire to comply, so they have removed the account.

HI Al, apparently they just deleted it, no chance of changing it first.....

All they have done is sent me an email asking if I can confirm I am the owner of the account.

I confirmed I am and they have not done anything at all, no further correspondence, there is no point where I can contact them, the email is a temporary incident mail setup by them to deal specifically with this problem, there level of contact with them is shocking.

It would appear there is nothing I can do. I have to wait for them to get in touch with me at their leisure. The only option I was thinking was a Freedom of information request to get my data back but apparently that only applies to Government organisations and where a US company is involved you have to pursue this in the US.

I'm not gonna lose sleep over it.
