My first attempt a Hooters' Buffalo Hot Wings

Post by chokethechicken »

After visiting the States a couple of times (and Nottingham on my Stag Do) many years ago I fell in love with Hooters' Buffalo Hot Wings.

I understand that proper Buffalo Hot Wings are not breaded but I prefer them that way. They are evil but wow, they are tasty!

This is the recipe I am following:

I bought a few sauces (see photo!) and will be cooking (and eating!) them in a few hours time.

Well they were very tasty! Hooters sauce was nice but I think I preferred the Louisiana Hot Sauce with butter and a bit of brown sugar added. The Frank Hot Wings Sauce was also okay.

Wow, those look AMAZING. Friends and Family did some time in the infamous hooters, apparently they use rice flour instead of normal flour (same recipe as desbribed above) to get an extra fine crisp. Its fried in Canola & peanut oil. Mmmm sooooo good. I LOVE WINGS....

If you are ever in Kansas City you need to visit The Peanut for wings that are dynamite

What's the thing about wings, there's more meat on thighs :?: :?: :?:

They take longer to cook? More sauce needed? I dunno, wings are just nicer to nibble on than a thigh I find.
