Pork at booker

Post by aris »

Just got back from a trip to booker cast and carry to get some provisions for a sausage making session (I am using collars £33.99 for a 13kg box - frozen). Got talking to the butcher - he says he can get me whole shoulders for £1.92kg - bone in. He says each one is about 13kg - so I suspect this is the entire shoulder from bade down to the hock.

He also said hat pork prices will be increasing in he medium term due to feed prices.

Ok I made a mistake here - the neck end shoulder of pork is around 13 lbs - not kg:-) but the price is correct. Blade bone is in this.

Also have fresh bone in rind n pork belly fr £2.99/kg

Ribs were (fom memory) £24 for a 10kg box - frozen.
