Can anyone recommend any good supermarkets for cuts of steaks on the bbq, or ribs?
Its quite remote where we live so i dont suppose there are any online meat shops as such?! Apart from you usual tesco & asda home delivery stuff.
Cheers

Hi,
Personally wouldnt touch supermarket steak with a long pointed stick, if you search around there are a number of good online butchers that will deliver, investment in a chest freezer adviseable as the best deals are usually when you buy big.
Where abouts are you?
Cheers

Have a search for Farm Shops, I'd be very surprised if you can't get good meat in Wales. My mate's neighbour (Brecon area) does the best Beef I've tasted, either Welsh Black pure bred or a limousine cross with WB.

Re: MEAT!
Sainsbury's. If your local branch has a meat counter, the beef they have there is usually very good.
If not, the pre-packed TTD stuff is usually alright.
But then again, I don't know how local the meat is. It might be that we just get good stuff uo here in Yorkshire.
That aside, do a Google for local farm shops.

Made fresh burgers last night with Sainsbury's best quality steak mince, even forming the patties so tthe strands are as close to vertical as possible the meat was tough and tasteless. Did the same last week with ASDAs 5% fat mince and they were nice.
If at all possible go for a butchers or a Farm Shop, they have a reputation to consider.
Depending whereabouts you are try asking friends and neighbours to see if anyone has a ticket to Castell Howell (knocks Bookers, Costco & Makro into the proverbial cocked hat).
