Access Door Expansion

Post by LM600 »

Hi All,

On my E20 the top access door has started to bow out a little at the bottom (the lower door is also starting to bow out a little) this is obviously causing heat and smoke loss.

Does anyone have any fixes I could try...I was thinking about some kind of gasket maybe - the unit is still under warranty but I don't want to be sending it all back to the supplier and not being abole to use it!

Here are some pics...hopefully they'll have come out OK....

I wouldn't worry too much about it mate. They all do that and the heat/smoke loss is minimal. If anything you might find the gap feeds oxygen to the fire and causes it to run a little hotter :)

The gap will gunk up with grease and smoke soon enough anyhow.

The doors on my old E20 are much worse than that, trust me
