Hi

Post by DJBenz »

FIVE! Good God, this had better be worth it. :x

Aaaand breathe.

Hello, barbeque fellows, I've just stumbled across this forum after doing many a minute's research on smoking my own meat. Had a half successful trial last summer with my gas BBQ and home-made smoker box, but a trip to the US in October last year made me seriously think about getting kitted up for some much better results this year.

So yes, that's me. I'm Dan and I want to cook meat in the garden. I'll now go and read the rest of the forum. :)

Yes its worth it:-). Spend plenty of time reading the forum. MOST of the your questions will already be answered. But always ask if you cant find it.

If you had to spend as much time as i do removing the spam members, back links etc you could understand why i like to take the odd day off!

Changed the title for you, wouldnt want anyone to get offended.

I feel your pain, I admin a couple of forums and it's a constant battle to keep them out. :x I've found Q+A Captcha is very effective (when you set the question as something that can't be googled). But I digress...

Still reading lots of posts on here for more pointers on the process and equipment. Good stuff, hopefully there'll be some delicious cooked meats happening in my garden this year. :)

DJB, welcome if you are unsure, send out an invite and I'm sure there would always be takers, just to confirm you are BBQing your delicacies correctly :D

It should become mandatory that to be able to post more than, say, I dunno, 10-20 posts, you have to invite everyone over for a massive q.

I wouldn't inflict my BBQ on the masters here. Not enough practise to make anything that would be worth eating. :D
